Frequently asked questions

Booking, deposit, how an appointment goes, treatments and hygiene: answers to the questions we hear most often at the salon.

Where is the salon and how do I get there?

The salon is at 6 Rue Thomas Ruphy, Cabinet du Lac, RDC de la résidence Central Park, 74000 Annecy, on the ground floor, a few minutes' walk from Lake Annecy.

How do I book an appointment?

Appointments are booked online via the “Book” button on this site, or by phone on +33 6 38 73 55 22. The salon works by appointment only.

Is a deposit required?

How do I cancel or move an appointment?

Let the salon know as soon as possible by phone or from your booking confirmation. For a first appointment, the deposit is not refunded if you cancel less than 72 hours beforehand.

How long does an appointment last?

It depends on the treatment; the duration is shown for each one on the treatments page. Your slot matches the time actually needed, with no overlap with another client.

What is the difference between gel polish and gel?

Gel polish is a coloured lacquer cured under a lamp on the natural nail. Gel also rebuilds, lengthens and strengthens the nail. Cindy advises you based on the condition of your nails.

How long does a set last?

Usually two to three weeks for gel polish and three to four weeks before a gel infill, depending on natural growth and your daily activity.

What is a Russian manicure?

It is nail preparation with an e-file: the edges and cuticles are cleared precisely so the product can be applied as close to the skin as possible. The result is cleaner and lasts longer. It is included in the salon's sets.

Do you offer French and custom colours?

Yes: classic or coloured French, babyboomer, solid colours and effects. The salon's colour range is very wide.

Is nail art possible?

Yes, from a discreet detail to a full design. Cindy is trained in nail art, painting and 3D relief; mention it when booking so enough time is reserved.

Do you also offer foot treatments?

Yes, foot beauty care and polish on toenails are part of the salon's treatments.

I have a set done elsewhere, is that a problem?

No, but mention it when booking: a removal has to fit into the slot, which makes the appointment longer.

Does the salon welcome men too?

Yes, hand and foot treatments are open to everyone.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes, gift vouchers are available; they appear in the list of treatments on the site.

How is the equipment disinfected?

Reusable instruments are autoclave-sterilised between each client and consumables in direct contact with the skin are single-use. The full protocol is published on the hygiene and safety page.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Come with clean nails and, if possible, without polish, and mention any allergy, treatment or particular fragility at the start of the session.

How do I look after my nails between appointments?

Moisturise cuticles and hands daily with an oil or cream, wear gloves for household products and avoid using your nails as a tool.

How can I reach the salon outside appointments?

By phone on +33 6 38 73 55 22, by email at alongledulac@gmail.com or through the form on the contact page.
